It all started like dat, at the LAX airport, Tashi and me waiting...
But next day the work started, and we all felt better...
To all our future visitors, this is the status of your room. So, pace yourselves..!
But, if you were to look at the other side, this is what awaits you every morning from your window...
It has been really hot recently, and this gorgeous river, 5 minutes from the house, has been our saviour, water really cold but very revitalizing, and Tashi LOVES to go there with our car, and it shows...!!
This our small road to the house, a full golden plums tree, and notice the fields neatly tilled by my farmer in residence...
Ok, this is it for now, it takes for ever to upload on dial up (eek...) but we've made it from our camping headquarters...!
Next time, some pics of the village, that recently, from 960 people, swelled to 962...!!!
Ciao a tutti

A NEW start, always challenging, but always rewarding. After three years in France we feel at home and you will too in Italy. Just breath and take your time always remembering it IS NOT America, and with all its problems you don't have to worry about George BUSH!
That room should be almost ready for me to pick out my colors and finishing touches. I'm sure it could use some ART from www.SuperBon.fr !!!!
Wishing you ALL THE BEST!
Congratulations, Mike and Timothy
And you did all this with dial up; I’m unsure which is more impressive, moving back to Italy or creating this blog!
Look at you two! Sweet one you look serene and gorgeous, while Manish looks happy and very tasty indeed! Good move kids :-)
Bricks and mortar what a relief! Don’t they make you feel safe in comparison to our wooden sheds we live in over here (or is that just me projecting)?! Tashi looks right at home and what a beautiful new world for you all to explore.
What a splendid idea to create the blog and clue in the masses - I for one am in full appreciation.
Finally some images!!
Good job, but we would like to see also Manish on his bike, Francesca returning from the neighbor Marina, with bags full of goodies, the three of you sitting at the local "bar', chatting with the locals, etc....
So, keep up the great blog!
Must say...Tashi in the river...ADORABLE! And super sweet seeing you two.
The camping site looks better and bigger than what we were picturing! So full of light.....as you guys are.....
We love you and miss you, madi, nigi and gigi.
Dearest Manish, Francesca, and Tashi,
Wow. Thanks. Great to hear news of you. And the photos!!
Remarkable that you are able to upload all that on a dial-up connection.
Perhaps you should spend some of that time fixing up my room.
Much love to you three.

Wow, were we ever surprised to read your blog. We're so happy for your guys, but are sad that you won't be on Maui when we return in 2009. We were so looking forward to painting with Francesca and cooking up some lovely meals together on Maui.
We may be flying through Italy on our way to Malaysia in Jan 2009, as our friends are in Sicily. Then it's onward to Maui in time for Azmi to start kindergarten. We'll let you know if the Italy stop ends up happening.
You both look great and incredibly happy. We admire your adventurous spirits and hope to see you sometime.
Lots of love,
Amie, Amelia & Azmi
Thanks for taking the time to put all this up on the internet. I enjoyed it a lot, enlarging many pictures to look at the details especially in your house. All is very beautiful. Bravo!
love, Nigama
